a managerial position: grad show website
I was appointed as Team Lead to design and build out a website for my school program's graduation show. The website's main use was to have all information on the graduation show's details and showcased each individual designer that graduated from the Graphic Design program. As a class, we decided on the theme of kaleidoscopes, symbolizing our uniqueness and ability "shift the lens" to reshape the future. The project was a big task of not only learning complex webflow skills, but also taught me a whole lot about managing people.

start of progress: making teams & staying on task
In the beginning, it became very apparent that in order to be the best team lead, I had to work really hard and be very involved in the project to set an example for my team members. I came with ambitious and complex ideas that sounded far-fetched in the beginning but turned out mind-blowing in the end. I worked extra hard to continue wow-ing my teammates. This kept morale high and members excited to work on the site. We split our team into two; wireframers and webflow-ers. We organized ourselves into these groups to play to our strengths and to get the best product possible. While the wireframers worked hard to get us a good base, the webflow-ers would work to get the final product functional and interactive. As a group, we faced so many challenges of clashing ideas and organization, but we also had many triumphs of completing tasks deadline-to-deadline and great work ethic.
the best group: web team number 1
Through all the challenges and victories, the web team completed the project with a final product that not only exceeded our own expectations, but the other groups around us that helped the grad show happen. The final website made it easy for a user to learn all about the grad show's details, learn about the graduates on an individual level, and all about the great people that made the event happen. This project was an incredible experience of learning management, working as a team, and learning brand new skills of web development.
