Enhancing iQibla for a Seamless Spiritual Journey

As a very faithful person, this was not only a challenge to my design skills, but also a passion project. The aim of this UX/UI redesign was to modernize and streamline iQibla, a mobile app that supports users in tracking prayer times, reading the Quran, and organizing their daily lives with Islamic teachings. The focus was on creating a user-friendly, intuitive experience that allows users to access content quickly and navigate with ease. Research centered on understanding user interactions with content pages, making navigation more fluid to fulfill the client's request for a modern, accessible app.

Crafting a Modern Spiritual Companion: From Concepts to Completion

The redesign process involved exploring competitor apps and experimenting with UX patterns that enhance user flow in Islamic guidance apps. Initial sketches evolved smoothly, with significant adjustments in colour schemes, page organization, and style to achieve a cohesive, modern aesthetic. Feedback focused on subtle modernizations, but no major revisions were required. The client was pleased with the final design, which brought a refined, accessible experience to users.

The redesign transformed iQibla into a clean, organized app with an inviting color scheme and cohesive logo, contrasting sharply with its outdated predecessor. The restructured pages and refined aesthetic provide users with a seamless and engaging experience. The client was thrilled with the final result, and the project reaffirmed that a focus on modernization and user-first design is essential for impactful redesigns.
